Cultural Preservation Isn’t a Luxury

Did you know that every two weeks, an Indigenous language vanishes? That’s not only the language, but everything that language holds and creates. The way we speak shapes how we move through the world, how we understand ourselves and the people around us, and how we describe and conceptualize our experiences. Understanding each other is so often taken for granted. It’s something that’s easy to forget about until it’s too late. Every two weeks, it’s too late for someone.
But we’re fighting to save these invaluable histories. Like you, we believe that cultural preservation isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity. That’s why we’re standing on the front lines to protect languages and cultures everyday. I hope we can count on you to stand with us.
Here at DIVINA WORLD Foundation, we’re building something unique to combat erasure: the world's first VR Indigenous & World Music Hall of Fame, Museum & Library, located on the Conectado-verse. In an age of increasing fracture and disconnection, our Indigenous & World Music Hall of Fame imagines something different—a world where people from all over the globe can connect and learn, can listen and explore, and can honor ancestors from around the globe. To get a taste of our Indigenous & World Music Hall of Fame, watch the video below.
As you know, language is power. To communicate. To understand. To connect. This is also a part of our Wellness 360 lens. Our culture and our roots impact our sense of self. How we are able to communicate our own stories and express ourselves in our own voices and languages contributes to our own overall wellbeing. Thank you for joining us on our journey to preserve Indigenous and World cultures everywhere. Your support enables us to fight to protect Indigenous and World language and culture by making the Indigenous & World Music Hall of Fame a reality.
P.S. Did you know we’re also on GoFundMe? I hope you’ll consider supporting our mission to amplify global, under-served community voices through education and immersive digital experiences while we safeguard endangered cultural knowledge and multi-generational stories through a variety of cultural preservation initiatives.
Thank you to our sponsors
