This month, we have an inspiring Community Ally and an exciting opportunity for anyone local to the Bay Area to build community together. 

The one and only Oakland Roots have their last home games of the season and you can watch some amazing professional soccer and support our work here at DIVINA WORLD Foundation. Building our Roots

As September tumbles into fall, and I’m getting excited to see the Oakland Roots in action, it has me thinking about the other roots around me. At DIVINA WORLD Foundation, we are fortunate to have a dedicated team of volunteers who make so much of our work possible. I consider them part of the DIVINA WORLD Foundation system of roots, an interconnected ecosystem that helps everyone grow. I’d like to take this time to introduce you to our volunteer team.

Ritika Rao works on grant writing and management. She is building her nonprofit career and is dedicated to issues regarding sustainability and missions that focus on minority communities. Ritika admires how DIVINA WORLD Foundation’s “solution for preserving music is forward-thinking and designed to create lasting impact for future generations.” She lives in Seattle, WA.

Megan Reynolds, PhD steers DIVINA WORLD Foundation’s communications efforts. As a seasoned nonprofit professional, Megan truly believes in “the power of arts and culture” and is passionate about “preserving access to stories, music, and histories.” She lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Michelle Thuo helped to maintain and improve the DIVINA WORLD Foundation’s website to create a user-friendly digital experience and now is learning to support our new digital “splash ads” campaign. For Michelle, “technology has power to create real, meaningful change” and her dream is “to build solutions that make a lasting impact.” She lives in Kenya, Africa.
